Max McKinney is a 2021 C/RHP/1B with a 5-11 180 lb. frame from Farmington, MO who attends Farmington HS. Medium frame with some strength to the build. Ran an 8.57 second 60 yard dash. Primary catcher, sets up in a really deep crouch, comes up of crouch to an upright release, reception will continue to improve with reps behind the plate, developing actions and arm strength at catcher, 2.15 second best pop time. Secondary righthanded pitcher, graded out best on the mound, starts windup with a side step up to a belt high leg lift, extends hands away from body as he gets to his balance point, takes arm back to a long arm action up to a high 3/4 arm slot, fastball topped out at 79 mph. Also took reps at first base, sits back on the baseball fielding it with a wide base, hands play out in front with both hands used, compact arm action into release with average arm strength. Righthanded hitter, sets up with a bent kneed stance, downhill path to contact, will improve bat speed with adjustments to lower half involvement, worked the baseball to the middle of the field.
