Eli Sparks is a 2023 C/UT with a 5-10 175 lb. frame from Belmont, MS who attends Belmont. Medium frame with a sturdy build showing a strong lower half. Ran a 7.68 second sixty yard dash. Primary Catcher, sitting down in his stance proving to be athletic with the lower half. Receives the baseball well before working into an urgent transfer. Gains ground and released uphill as he was accurate around the bag with throws. Recorded a pop time of 2.01 seconds. Secondary Outfielder, worked quickly into the baseball as he charged it with confidence. Scoops it up to the side before working into an urgent transfer. Whip to the arm and was accurate with throws. Up to 80 mph during drills. Switch Hitter, from the left-side, even base with hands off the back shoulder. Short knee trigger to stride. Relies on the hands to generate bat speed as he throws the barrel into the zone. Proved he could drive it to the pull-side for pop when he got extended and timed it up properly. From the right-side, similar stance as he strides in and creates more separation on this side. Short, compact stroke as he stays linear through the zone. Proved he could drive the baseball to all fields as he took a solid round of batting practice. Outstanding Student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
