Maddux Rocha is a 2028 LHP/1B, OF with a 6-1 175 lb. frame from Tucson, AZ who attends Mica Mountain. Features a longer/lean build with some athleticism. Ran a 7.31 60-yd dash. At 1B, showed good feel for the position. Sure/soft glove actions that field it clean and out front with some quick transfers especially on DPs. Quality arm strength and accuracy where he was comfortable working from different angles/slots. At the plate, sits in a wider base and shows a simple forward move as the hands hold a flatter barrel at launch. Hands throw a direct barrel as it enters that levels out into contact. Quality bat speed for his level that produced some middle of the field LDs. On the mound, works exclusively from the stretch. Belt high knee lift. Smaller drop with early push off the rubber. Loose/continuous arm out the glove and up to a H 3/4 slot. Lands on-line with shorter stride. Ran the FB up to 78 that exhibited some running action. Mixed in an upper 60s breaker that varied in shape but was mainly more 1-7. Also flashed a few upper 60s changeups that had some tumbling action. Named to Top Propsects List.
