Jake Porter is a 2022 LHP/OF/1B with a 5-10 170 lb. frame from Winterset, IA who attends Winterset HS. Stocky build with present strength. Small rocker step to high leg lift delivery. Lands online with the plate using drop and drive actions down the mound. Employs a full arm action at take back releasing from a three-quarter arm slot. Flashed developing arm speed and control. Showed a fastball up to 77 miles per hour with some heavy action through the zone to go along with a curve ball with good spin at 60 miles per hour. Left handed hitter. utilizes an upright slightly open stance with a high leg lift trigger. Employs a line drive up the middle approach with some solid contact when on time. Inconsistent getting leg kick down on time. Flashed some rotational pull side power.
