Gabriel Alvarado is a 2023 SS/2B with a 6-0 165 lb. frame from Boise, ID who attends Timberline. Ran a 7.25 60 yard dash. Medium frame on the mound with projection left. Begins with a bigger gather step into a leg kick just above the belt. Has a longer arm circle in the back and throws from a three quarters arm slot. Locates the fastball in the zone with some arm side run to it. The pitch topped at 78 and flashed an 11/5 curveball that he has a developing feel for. Stays online with a simple and easy delivery and pitched to contact with the fastball. Solid ability in the field, fluid actions with soft hands. Good arm for the infield. High elbow slot at the plate with a level bat plane. Has a slight hand hitch and generates good bat speed. Uses the whole field well.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
