Aaron Cabrera is a 2022 1B/LHP, OF with a 6-2 200 lb. frame from Tucson, AZ who attends Ironwood Ridge. Big strong frame. Primary first baseman, was able to clock up to 71 mph on throws across. Has a tendency to let the ball come, moved well for his size and showed the ability to make the plays. Also worked out in the outfield, came to the ball well and has a quick transfer. From the mound, throws from a high three-quarter arm slot, gets downhill well. The fastball sat 72-77 mp with slight arm side run, still working on the control, did flash the ability to control his pitches and generate a lot of swing and misses. Left-handed hitter, hits from a narrow upright stance, swings hard and with good intent. Displayed a powerful swing, the ball really jumps off the bat. Has good bat speed with a natural loft. Great student.
