Edward Paneque is a 2023 SS/MIF with a 5-11 165 lb. frame from Miami, FL who attends Sagemont Upper. Medium, high waisted frame with some lean muscle throughout and room to add strength. Recorded a 6.95 second sixty-yard dash time. Primary middle-infielder with smooth, athletic actions throughout the fielding process. Displayed good lateral range to either side, a quick first step and soft hands to field out in-front. Exhibits the ability to change arm slots when necessary and recorded online, accurate throws up to 85 mph across the diamond during drills. Right-handed hitter that hits from a wider base with a tight hand set, high back elbow and toe-tap trigger. Whole field approach with a slightly lofted stroke, generates some hip torque and exhibits plenty of present bat speed. Displayed feel for the barrel and impacted the baseball with authority several times throughout. Fundamentally sound prospect with some prowess and upside on both sides of the baseball. Excellent Student. Named to the 2022 Uncommitted Main Event Top Prospect List.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
