Wyatt Pochis is a 2024 1B/RHP, 3B with a 6-0 170 lb. frame from Crystal River, FL who attends Crystal River. Large, athletic frame with square shoulders and long limbs, lean and projectable build with room to fill throughout moving forward. Ran a 7.82 60-yard dash. Primary first baseman, fields the ball out front, works into a longer arm action through the back, ball comes out well and cleanly, moves well off the bag and shows athleticism to his actions. Extra step through the ball in the infield, ball has nice carry across the diamond, fields it out front with two hands, accurate throws to first base. Also pitched, rock step moving into a high leg lift up past belt, slight coil at top of balance point; long arm action working to a high three-quarters release point. Fastball topped out at 73 mph, mostly true in life, creates some extension and remains on line and worked to either side of the plate. Righthanded hitter, begins with a high hand set and back elbow at the plate with a wide and spread stance. Big weight shift in swing, linear path through the zone with a long finish through point of contact. Shows upside and can continue to unlock additional strength with refinement to lower half mechanics, shows a handle for the barrel. Very good student.
