Holden Lipton is a 2022 RHP with a 6-3 150 lb. frame from New York City, NY who attends Poly Prep Country Day. Large frame with high-waisted, highly-projectable build; ran 60 yard dash in 7.73 seconds. Primary righthanded pitcher, deliberate tempo on the mound, over the top arm slot through release, creates good down plane on the ball, fastball worked 73-78 mph with that good plane, consistent strikes at the bottom of the zone, showed curveball with 12/6 shape and good depth, mixed in a cutter with subtle slice glove side that misses barrels, good job missing barrels overall and eliciting weak contact. Hits from wide-based, open stance with high hand set, upward path through the zone, creates some lift to stroke, showed contact skills and projects for power. Very good student.
