Carter Kim is a 2020 RHP/SS with a 6-0 190 lb. frame from Copley, OH who attends Highland. Athletic frame with present strength. Frame projects to support additional strength while maintaining athleticism. Ran a 6.97 sixty-yard dash. Primary right handed pitcher with a simple side step to high leg lift delivery. Stays tall and balanced on back side at gather while utilizing drop and drive actions to the plate. Hides baseball well at take back and released from a mid three-quarters arm slot. Fastball flashed solid life through the zone with the ability to work to each edge of the plate in the low 80's, topped at 82 miles per hour. Maintained arm speed well with a breaking ball that generated tight spin with late, sharp bite in the upper 70's. Consistently changed speed and induced weak contact throughout each inning of work. Also worked out defensively from the infield showing deliberate footwork while working to and through the baseball. Funnels out front and worked through exchange with loose actions. Extended arm circle at take back and released from a three-quarters slot. Throws produced on line carry to the bag topping at 84 miles per hour. Right handed hitter with a crouched, even stance and reaching front side trigger. Works to contact with rotational lower half actions. Loose hand path to baseball with a slightly lifted barrel plane through extension. Flashed good strength at contact with carry to the gaps when on time and squared. Primarily looked to drive the baseball to the middle of the field. Good student as well.
