Ever Jens is a 2020 RHP/OF with a 5-11 162 lb. frame from Davenport, IA who attends Davenport Central. Medium frame with a lean build. Primary right handed pitcher with a side step to high leg lift delivery. Stays balanced at gather and lands slightly closed on front side. Full arm circle at take back and released from a high three-quarters arm slot. Primarily looked to locate fastball down in the zone creating occasional plane in the upper 70's, topped at 79 miles per hour. Curveball displayed 10/5 shape with looser spin and occasional depth in the upper 60's. Also flashed a changeup offering in the mid 70's. Showed developing feel for the edges of the plate with each offering. Right handed hitter with an upright, even stance and simple front side trigger. Works to contact with rotational lower half actions. Loose hand path to baseball with a level, line drive barrel plane. Showed developing feel for the barrel with occasional bat speed and strength. Employed a mid field approach flashing occasional jump off the barrel when squared.
