Matthew Harris is a 2020 OF/2B, RHP with a 5-11 154 lb. frame from Lakeport, CA who attends Kelseyville. Medium frame with a lean, athletic build. Primary outfielder with smooth footwork while closing to and working through the baseball. Funnels cleanly and showed fluid actions while working through exchange. Compact arm circle and released from a three-quarters arm slot. Throws produced some on line carry to the bag topping at 81 mph. Also worked out defensively from the infield showing athletic footwork with solid range to each side. Stays low while funneling the baseball and released from a three-quarters slot, topped at 76 mph. Right handed hitter with a even stance. Stacks back side at load and works to contact with rotational actions. Loose hand path to the baseball with an uphill barrel plane through extension. Consistently looked to turn barrel to baseball while utilizing a mid field approach. Also pitched employing a side step to lower leg lift delivery. Stays slightly flexed on back side at gather and worked to the plate with drop and drive actions. Compact arm circle at take back and released from a three-quarters slot. Fastball flashed occasional downhill tilt through the zone in the low to mid 70's, topped at 74 mph. Tends to slow arm speed slightly with a curveball offering that showed 11/5 shape in the low 60's. Good student.
