Landon Barnes is a 2026 2B/SS with a 6-0 175 lb. frame from Fort Worth, TX who attends Aledo. Medium athletic build with some present strength and more to come. 6.96 runner in the sixty. Primary second baseman on defense, has quick feet and good lateral range, works around the ball well and has an idea on his footwork, changes slots throwing well, has plenty of arm strength for second base and the athleticism to play shortstop as well. Right handed hitter, hits from a slightly open narrow stance with a hanging knee lift trigger, rotational swing, gets the barrel out front on time and controls it well, has some strength to the pull side. Also pitched, gets coiled over the rubber and has energy going down the mound, throws from a high 3/4's arm slot with good extension out front. Fastball was in the upper 70's with good life and around the zone. Threw a hard slider with short break and developing feel for the release point. Good student.
