Malachi Butler is a 2027 SS/2B/OF with a 6-2 185 lb. frame from Powder Springs, GA who attends Mceachern. Lean, tapered and athletic build that has leaned out over the past calendar year and added strength throughout the build. Ran a 6.81 60-yard dash. Primary shortstop, showed quick feet and moved really well in space, good glove actions, clean gather with smooth arm action, quality release and transfers, made all the plays in game both routine and not, projection to stick on the left side of the infield. Left-handed hitter, simple swing with easy parts, low effort barrels to pull, improved bat speed and strength, lots of upside with the bat and continues to improve. Made plenty of plays at short in game and barreled up multiple baseballs. Very real prospect in his class. Great student. Verbal commitment to Georgia Tech. Named to the 2025 PG National Underclass Showcase - Main Event Top Prospect List.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
