Aidan Paul is a 2022 1B/OF with a 6-1 185 lb. frame from Phoenix, AZ who attends Brophy College Preparatory. Strong build with room to fill out. Ran a 7.48 second sixty-yard dash. Worked out defensively as a primary first baseman. Flashed low out front funnels with confident glove actions. Displayed deliberate footwork working to and through the baseball creating good momentum into throws with developing arm strength topping out at 68 miles per hour across the diamond. Left handed hitter. Employs an even upright stance with a high hand and back elbow set. Utilizes an easy swing with a line drive plane and good strength at contact. Uses a rotational gap to gap approach looking to drive the ball to the middle and pull side of the field with the ability to drive the ball with authority when squared and on time. Also pitched. Employs a side step to belt high leg lift staying balanced with a hip coil at the top using drop and drive actions down the mound and landing online with the plate. Uses a short compact arm action into a medium three-quarter arm slot with good arm speed. Flashed a fastball with good control to the glove side up to 75 miles per hour complemented with a curveball with good depth up to 68 miles per hour. Great student.
