2021 National Underclass Showcase-Main Event
Conner Freeze is a 2023 3B/C with a 6-0 170 lb. frame from Aviston, IL who attends Central Comm. Medium athletic frame with some present strength with more to come. Ran the 60 yard dash in 7.45 seconds. Primary position IF who used short direct footwork to the ball and gets to his angles well. He showed nice bounce to his actions and ranged well up the middle as he threw effectively on the move. His hands were clean, securing the ball well as he transitioned to an over the top arm action creating velocity of 80 mph across the diamond. Secondary position C with a square setup and footwork that allowed him to gain ground. His transfer was fairly quick allowing him to make accurate throws up to 71 mph and best pop time of 2.04 seconds. RHH with a wider stance and a deep toe tap to get started. His hands are strong, he gets on plane with the pitch and worked the middle of the field with his approach. His launch angle produces a lot of line drives and he stays on the ball well. While the overall presentation is not typical, he in on the barrel with regularity and he makes it work at a high level. Very good student, interesting follow moving forward.
