2024 High School All State Select Championship (2025-2026 Grads)
Colton Smith is a 2026 1B/RHP/3B with a 6-2 215 lb. frame from Roanoke, TX who attends Byron Nelson. Extra-large, sturdy build with well-proportioned strength present throughout. Primary first baseman on defense who also plays some third base, has solid fundamental actions in the dirt with good mobility and footwork. Showcased the ability to adjust his arm and glove on the run. Delivered accurate throws across the diamond while recording arm strength up to 82 mph. Secondary right-handed pitcher, began his operation from the first base-side of the rubber with a belt-high leg lift. Separates his hands at the belt and accelerates into a three-quarters release. Repeats his mechanics fairly well. Fastball was pretty straight and located well throughout the strike zone, ultimately peaking at 81 mph. Mixed in a shorter curveball with occasional late break when ahead in counts. Primarily pitched to contact with his mix. Right-handed hitter, starts in an even stance with a high back elbow. Utilizes a small leg lift trigger for timing before working into a slightly uphill bat path. Utilizes his strong lower-half well, turning his hips and barrel with intent while attempting to generate lift at the point of contact. Has a heavy barrel with intriguing power potential to both gaps. Occasionally gets stuck on his back-side at impact. Had a loud double into the opposite-field gap during live action. Posted an exit velocity of 89 mph. Ran a 7.55 sixty-yard dash. Great student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
