Rowan Johnson is a 2027 C/RHP, 1B, 3B with a 5-10 165 lb. frame from Nixa, MO who attends Nixa. Medium size frame with present strength. Ran an 8.16 60-yard dash. Primary catcher that gains ground throughout the pop and throw down to second base. Solid average arm strength and some accuracy. Corner infield type action during infield workouts, hands work though the baseball fielding, gathers the feet well, quick release and solid average arm strength on throws across. Hit from a wide base with load stride timing at the plate. Drifts some and gets out front, level path through the zone with all pull side contact. Developing ability to stay balanced at the plate and some natural strength in the swing. Drop and drive mechanics on the mound with a high three-quarter arm slot. Mid 70's fastball that topped out at 77 with room to grow into more velo with refined mechanics. A slider with two-plane break and some sharp biting action at times. Maintained arm speed on a change up that had enough separation off the fastball to get hitters off balance. Feel for three pitches on the mound and plenty to grow into as he develops. Very Good Student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
