Cameron Wieczorek is a 2023 RHP/1B, 3B with a 6-5 180 lb. frame from High Ridge, MO who attends Northwest. Large frame with potential for added physical strength. Primary RH pitcher, has simple delivery, pitches from the 3B side of the rubber. Throws from 3/4 arm slot. Lacks good arm speed. FB has occasional arm side run & sinking action when down in the zone. FB does have occasional cutting action. Needs to continue to refine FB command. CB lacks consistent tight rotation, has occasional 11/5 to 3/4 type action. CH has occasional arm side fade & deception. Around the zone with all pitches, needs to continue to improve the quality of his strikes. Also participated in infield drills showed sound fundamentals with the ability to make the routine type plays. Recorded 78 mph throw in infield drills with accuracy. Also participated in drills at first base, demonstrated sound fundamentals, needs to continue to refine footwork around the bag at 1B. RH hitter with wide, slightly open stance. Line drive, contact type hitting approach, tries to hit to all fields. Has the potential to continue to improve with proper development and added physical strength. Good student.
