2024 WWBA Workout Showcase (July 5)
Tyler Rothell is a 2026 RHP/1B/3B with a 5-11 195 lb. frame from Demorest, GA who attends Habersham Central. Medium frame with big physicality and present strength, power oriented athlete with more to come. Ran the 60 yard dash in 7.50 seconds. Primary position infielder, showing corner infield traits from a lateral mobility standpoint and displaying nice glove work securing the ball as he makes plays. Deeper midline transfer with longer arm action, working through a 3/4 slot and generating throws up to 76 mph across the diamond. Reps at 1B as well, using methodical footwork and showing some feel around the bag. Shows comfort in this spot and made multi-angle feeds up to 79 mph at this spot. RHH working from a wider base, high handset and deeper load before working directly to the ball. Quick hands that are strong at impact, getting some real jump off the barrel. Likes to pull the ball in the air but showed best bolts and most consistent line drives when working gap-to-gap. Corner infielder with middle of the order bat potential who is a very good student as well.
