Jacob Nava is a 2025 LHP/1B, OF with a 6-2 165 lb. frame from Midland, TX who attends Midland. Recorded a 6.98 second 60-yard dash time. Primary left-handed pitcher with a tall frame and lean athletic build. Middle rubber start with high-belt extended lift and medium arm swing to a low 3/4 arm slot delivery. Lands slightly closed down the slope creating arm side run on his fastball up to 81 mph (2224 RPM). Slider in the low-70s (2222 RPM) with lateral cutter action and short depth. Moving his pivot foot to third base side of the rubber would allow more room to work over his front side and give more plate to land both offerings with his closed landing. Secondary outfielder with athletic approach to gather and some arm strength on throws. Works through the ball with a clean gather and quick release on throws at 82 mph. Left-handed hitter with a spread-out wide base and inward toe-tap trigger. Big lower-half movements with deep hand load before launch. Rotational bat path through the zone with backside release at impact. Excellent student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
