Nick Malec is a 2026 1B/LHP with a 6-3 210 lb. frame from Saint Augustine, FL who attends Beachside High School. Tall, athletic build with present strength in the frame. Left-handed hitter, narrow base with high hands and back elbow in the stance, big hand drop in the load, level barrel path through the zone, short to the baseball with strength to the pull side. Loses lower half at times during the swing. Primary first baseman, deliberate actions bouncing off the bag, fields the ball with one hand and turns arm-side on throws to both bags. Long arm action and developing arm strength, accurate throws recorded up to 71 mph. 8.00 runner in the sixty-yard dash. Secondary left-handed pitcher, stretch only delivery, above the belt leg lift into balance over the back side, breaks the hands late, fastball stays up in the zone. Fastball heavy diet, up to 70 mph (1678 RPM). Good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
