Jacob Pate is a 2022 RHP/3B/OF with a 6-2 180 lb. frame from Beardstown, IL who attends Beardstown. Nice athletic build with good length and plenty of room to get stronger. Works down the mound well in his delivery, stays on line and uses his lower half well, long and loose arm action from an over the top arm slot, repeats his delivery very well. Gets good downhill plane to his fastball, has feel for his curveball with some 12/6 shape and depth. Right handed hitter, starts from a very high hand set with a busy load that can impact his timing, swings hard, best contact to right centerfield. Excellent student.
