Jatniel McCloud Perez is a 2024 C/RHP, OF with a 6-1 185 lb. frame from Loiza, PR who attends Leadership Christian Academy. Has a taller and larger frame. Strength showing in his build with long levers throughout. Ran a 7.14 60-yard dash. Primary catcher who showed off quick feet with a transfer that helped him get rid of the ball quickly. Speedy arm stroke as he gains ground and works through the throws up to 80 mph. His throws were on target and helped him produce a 1.92 pop time that was on the mark. Also worked out in the outfield where he threw 91 mph on his throws, using his longer levers to his advantage. Fields it off the front foot and lets it rip. His throws were strong and carried well coming out of a whippy and quick arm action. Athletic actions shown in the outfield, with on-target throws. A right-handed hitter with slightly open feet to start. He gets his hands back and drives through the ball, planting the front foot and rotating hard through contact, Showed off good bat speed, getting the hands through with intent. He matched planes with pitches and produced excellent contact with the ability to lift. Took to the mound as a right-handed pitcher who was up to 87 mph on the fastball that spun up to 2,225 RPMs. He showed a breaking ball up to 70 mph that spun at 2,404 RPMs. He used a side step into the leg lift that was above the belt. Had a long and whippy arm action. Picked up a punchout over an inning of work during games. Good student.
