Connor Byrne is a 2023 RHP/OF with a 6-0 160 lb. frame from Basking Ridge, NJ who attends Ridge. Recorded a 8.04 second sixty-yard dash time. Long, lean frame with young look and plenty of time to fill out and physically mature. Primary right-handed pitcher, abbreviated windup with a belt high leg lift and short stride down the slope. Three-quarters arm slot with command to both sides of the plate with fastball that worked in the low-to-mid 70s, topping out at 75 miles per hour. Developing feel for secondary offering, slower curveball that varies in shape and will improve with refinement of its spin traits. Right-handed hitter that hits from an open stance while using a high back elbow and leg lift trigger for timing. Middle-of-the field approach with steep swing path and the propensity to get extended early and work around the baseball. Plenty of projection remaining on the mound and will continue to improve at the plate with proper swing adjustments. Good Student.
