Luke Wechsler is a 2021 RHP with a 6-1 182 lb. frame from Santa Barbara, CA who attends Santa Barbara. Large frame with an athletic type build. Broad shoulders and still showing room to fill out physically in the future making him projectable. Primary Right-Handed Pitcher, working with an overall balanced operation as he stays under control at all times. Utilizing drop and drive mechanics while proving he can repeat his actions. Quick arm as he hides the baseball well in the back before releasing from a high three-quarter slot. Gets over the front side well as he works downhill. Fastball up to 84 mph with good short life as it runs late in the zone. Mixed in a changeup that was tunneled well off the fastball. Slider showing short bite to it with depth as he landed for strikes. Curveball proving to be his best off-speed pitch as it flashed big depth with 12-to-6 break. Hammer of a curveball that he spun well. Pounded the zone with all four pitches and was completely confident in his stuff. Upside on the mound showing going forward. Outstanding Student.
