Cade Brunson is a 2021 OF/RHP/3B with a 6-0 160 lb. frame from Jamestown, SC who attends Stratford. Posted a 7.52 in the 60 yard dash. Medium build athlete and primary outfielder, showed good footwork and forward action at the play. Good glove skills fielding it out front with a clean transfer, stays on line and works through the throw. Has long arm action and gets his shoulders pointed uphill. Makes it all work, could emphasize getting on top of the throws to advance his good present tools. Also pitched, works with a full wind up with a medium leg lift and drop and drive actions to the plate. Gets some extension striding out, not showing fluid lower half mechanics.. He topped the fastball out at 79 mph that has good arm side life. Flashed a tight breaking ball, has great feel for the release and consistent arm slot. Holds 11/5 shape with late break. Right handed hitter, generates good bat speed and some strength in the hands. No weight shift and quiet separation, Upper half dominant swing, the strong player flashed some strength and barrel control. Connects with some force and showed solid pull side pop. Good student.
