2021 WWBA Workout Showcase (July 14)
Tyler Pirrung is a 2022 3B/RHP, C, 1B, OF with a 5-10 175 lb. frame from Newark, DE who attends Conrad School of Science. Recorded a 7.29 second sixty-yard dash time. Medium frame with long levers and plenty of room to fill out. Primary third baseman with proper footwork into the fielding process, clean funnel out in front and good lateral range to either side. Works downhill through the baseball, exhibits soft hands and a smooth exchange into the throwing motion. Recorded arm strength up to 81 mph across the diamond. Secondary outfielder with aggressive actions into the fielding process, clean gather and transition into a well-maintained release. Used a short arm action to display online, accurate throws up to 81 mph during drills. Right-handed hitter that hits from a slightly open stance with a lower hand set, high back elbow and leg lift trigger. Upper-body swing with big shoulder tilt into contact, shows present bat speed and fluidity throughout the operation. Developing bat-to-ball skills with similar feel for the barrel and short, quick path in-and-out of the zone. Displayed loud impact when on-time and in-sync, will improve with proper swing adjustments and more consistent barrel control. Excellent Student.
