EJ Allen is a 2026 RHP/SS with a 5-10 140 lb. frame from London, KY who attends North Laurel. Medium, high waisted frame with square shoulders and long limbs, lean build with room to fill throughout. Ran an 8.01 60-yard dash. Primary right-handed pitcher, abbreviated windup with deliberate tempo to leg lift, some drop and drive with lower half and cross-fire finish towards the plate, creates some deception; longer and clean arm action through the back working to a high three-quarters release point. Repeats well, fastball topped out at 74 mph, attacks hitters and generates some ride up in the zone. Comfort working at top of zone, able to induce ground ball contact. Curveball showed slurve action up to 64 mph with occasional bite, gets around the pitch at times. Arm played well across the infield as well, clean through the back, picked the backhand well and moves well side to side. Left-handed hitter, begins with a slightly open stance with bent knees at the plate; looks to uncoil into contact, occasionally gets too inside the baseball but shows ability to lift and impact when squared out front. Stays short through the zone, gets uphill at times, tools to improve upon moving forward offensively.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
