Samuelito Garcia Jr is a 2024 3B/RHP with a 5-11 130 lb. frame from Vineland, NJ who attends Vineland Sr High-South. Medium, athletic frame with square shoulders and long limbs, lean and projectable build with room to fill throughout. Ran a 7.75 60-yard dash. Primary third baseman, fields the ball out front, takes long strides moving towards the ball, some bend at waist during gathers, accurate throws across the diamond, extra step into release, arm strength will continue to develop. Also pitched, rock step into a high leg lift up past belt, full arm action through the backside working to a high three-quarters release point. Drop and drive mechanics with lower half, good direction towards the plate. Nice running life to fastball, topped out at 73 mph and flashed a curveball with 11-5 shape at 61 mph. Righthanded hitter, begins with an even stance and a quick leg lift trigger for timing at the plate. Short hand load, upper body dominant swing with a longer path through the zone. Contact oriented approached, sprayed the ball around the field, occasionally gets downward with path. Excellent student.
