Steven Henley is a 2022 RHP/OF with a 6-2 190 lb. frame from Steele, MO who attends South Pemiscot. Recorded a 7.13 second 60 yard dash time. Primary right-handed pitcher with a big and physical frame. Quick and compact arm action to a three-quarters slot, high effort release. Short and misdirected stride down the mound, tends to rush over the front side and yank down. Fastball is firm when the delivery is synced up, shows a slider with some sharpness and bite, definite barrel-missing pitch. Struggled with command at times, got better as the outing went along. Secondary outfielder, fields it deep and to the side with two hands. Full arm swing with some wrap, stiff and short stride with a high effort release. Shows great arm strength and carry at 89 mph. Right-handed hitter with a wide base and open stance. Busy operation with a toe tap trigger, extra deep hand load, barrel gets lost back there at times. Can impact the ball to his pull side at time. Long swing path with developing bat speed, tends to get over-rotated and hit around the ball. Excellent student. Named to the 2021 National Indoor Showcase Top Prospect List.
