Benji Perez is a 2023 SS/RHP, 2B, OF with a 5-11 150 lb. frame from Alexandria, OH who attends Johnstown-Monroe. Medium frame with slender, athletic build; ran 60 yard dash in 6.91 seconds. Hits from even stance with small coil into backside to load, gains ground well in stride, quality bat speed on linear swing path, showed pull-side impact, projects as he gains strength. Primary infielder, bouncy movements with good pace and balance, clean footwork to and through the ball, works through cleanly and shows good hands, clocked up to 80 mph across. Also threw 81 mph from the outfield. Very good student, named to 2022 Ohio Valley Workout Top Prospect List.
