Thomas Niles is a 2026 SS/RHP, OF with a 5-10 175 lb. frame from Goodrich, MI who attends Goodrich. Primary shortstop with an athletic build. Sits back on the ball a good bit but works around it well. Glovework was clean with a smooth 2-hand gather. Moves well laterally with quick feet. Could see the transfer and release speed up but has a strong arm and can make timely throws with good accuracy. Was up to 83 across the diamond. Also played outfield and was up to 89 from there. Throws had plenty of strength behind them with accuracy. Also ran a 7.15 sixty. Also pitched throwing from a high 3/4 slot with a loose arm. Fastball played firm and got up to 81. Could locate the fastball well within the zone. Also mixed in a curve with 10-4 shape and good depth. Could drop it in at times. Right-handed hitter with a wide base and spread stance. Has a quick set of hands with bat speed. Works up the middle well and can launch the ball showing good feel to create leverage. Uses a simple forward stride for timing and rhythm and tends to be on time consistently. Showed good impact strength off the barrel when on time especially up the middle. Excellent student. Named to the TP List.
