Pierson Cooper is a 2023 C/OF with a 6-1 205 lb. frame from Bethesda, MD who attends Georgetown Day School. Recorded a 7.08 second 60-yard dash time. Physical and well-proportioned build with lots of strength at present. Primary catcher who starts low and off to the side. Gains ground quickly and shows a clean transition. Release is fast and had a best recorded pop time of 2.10 seconds. Right-handed hitter with an even spread base, high hand set, and a high back elbow. Very good strength at the point of contact and flashed power when extended. Level swing plane and the ball carries off the bat. Simple swing with good bat speed. Some whip to the swing path and barrel skill was evident in game. Two inside-the-park-HRs also showed off the athleticism and speed while underway. Tremendous student. Named to the National Academic TP List.
