Nathan Byrd is a 2022 3B/RHP, IF with a 5-11 175 lb. frame from Beech Grove, IN who attends Beech Grove HS. Recorded an 8.03 second 60-yard dash time. Medium frame with a lean build and room to fill out. Primary third baseman with deliberate actions and the glove works nicely. Arm strength currently developing across the diamond but shows good accuracy. Secondary righthanded pitcher with an over the top arm slot and good feel for his secondary pitches. Quick and high leg lift and lands online down the mound. Slider has some depth to the pitch. Righthanded hitter with a narrow, open stance. Multiple moving parts to the swing and the hands work well throughout the stroke. Looks to get the bat head out in front with a contact oriented stroke. Good student.
