Cody Gallardo is a 2024 SS/RHP with a 5-10 120 lb. frame from Maricopa, AZ who attends Maricopa. Medium, square shouldered frame with a high waist and a lean, projectable build with room to fill throughout. Ran a 7.88 60-yard dash. Primary shortstop, shows smoothness to actions and works behind the ball well, shows some range, fields it out front with softness to glove actions, lower slot on throws across, arm strength and carry will continue to develop on throws. Also pitched, leg lift up past belt and gets tall on backside, longer arm action through the back working to a three-quarters release point. Fastball topped out at 69 mph, flashes cut action to it with extension out front and ball comes out clean. Shows feel for curveball with 11-5 shape at 59 mph, good athlete off the mound. Righthanded hitter, begins with a high hand set and and employs a contact oriented approach. Quickness to hands with consistent barrel skills, works the middle of the field and shows a handle for the barrel, puts the ball in play and projects with physical strength.
