Rafael Furcal Jr is a 2024 3B/IF with a 6-1 190 lb. frame from Weston, FL who attends American Heritage. Big and strong athletic build, pretty mature physically. 7.13 runner in the sixty, has run down to 6.87 at PG events earlier in 2023. Primary third baseman on defense, has well balanced fielding actions and good glove work, charges the ball very well, showed plenty of arm strength when he was on top of the ball. Right handed hitter, has big present bat speed with a level path through the zone, creates back spin off the barrel, works the ball around the field with carry, showed out in the games with a home run and a couple of doubles. Son of three-time MLB All-Star Rafael Furcal but a different type of athlete. Posted big offensive numbers on the 2023 travel circuit. Good student.
