Diego Villarreal is a 2024 OF/SS with a 5-8 170 lb. frame from Chualar, CA who attends Palma. Medium frame with projectable young build; ran 60 yard dash in 7.31 seconds. Hits from upright and narrow stance with slightly open base, loads hands back late, rotational swing without much lower half, middle-field approach, will improve with strength. Primary outfielder, hesitant to ball, fields with two hands out front, long whippy arm stroke with uphill throws, clocked up to 75 mph. Also took infield reps, fields deep with late funnel, up to 62 mph across the diamond. Excellent student.
