Jacob Celiz is a 2025 C/2B, OF with a 5-8 160 lb. frame from Whittier, CA who attends La Mirada. Medium frame backstop that shows quality footwork and ability to really get on top of accurate throws to the base. Quick release with effiecent transfers. Turned some head by uncorking one from the knees. At the plate, he sets up with high hands and back elbow. The swing is very rotational but showed no problem finding frequent pull side line drives. On the mound, he works with rhtyhmic delivery that displays short to medium arm stroke and three-quarters slot. The direction yanks off to the first base side a bit, leads to suspect command at times. Straight heater missed a lot of barrels. HIs breaker was featured early and often with two plane depthy snap to it. Added more tilt to it when neccessary. Fastball showed occasional cutting action. Promising stuff. 7.98 60-yard. 2.13 pop time.
