Jeffrey Claycomb is a 2026 C/RHP/3B with a 6-1 202 lb. frame from Plano, TX who attends Rowlett. Big and strong physical build. Right handed hitter, hits from a bent straight knee stance and a tight hand load, tends to get out front early at times but creates outstanding leverage and power when he stays back and gets into his strong lower half, ball comes off the barrel hard with back spin, pull to mid field contact, high level hitting tools. 7.36 runner in the sixty. Primary catcher on defense, showed game actions in the drills, comes out of his crouch well, lots of arm strength, makes very accurate throws, polished actions that he repeats well. Also played the outfield and showed a strong arm with good athleticism out there, especially for a catcher. Took a turn on the mound, works from the stretch with consistent mechanics and a 3/4's arm slot. Fastball topped out at 87 mph with some run and sink, gets on top of the ball well. Slurve type breaking ball had tight spin and late break. Talented all around player with big tools. Good student. Named to the National Underclass Main Event Showcase Top Prospect List.
