2022 Fall Top Prospect National Showcase  
Gabriel Mejia is a 2025 SS/RHP, 2B, OF with a 5-7 142 lb. frame from Miami, FL who attends Westminster Christian. Medium frame with some strength present. Ran a 7.11 60-yard dash. Primary shortstop who was athletic with fluid actions in the infield. Moved to the ball, gathering, and carrying momentum through his throws. Recorded outs with throws across registering at 87 mph. Also worked out in the outfield, fielding it off to the side with throws coming out good. Throws were low and on a line at 88 mph. Accurate to the bases during his defensive round. A right-handed hitter with a wider base and the hands set high. Simple stroke with a closed start, rotating through contract. Was able to impact it pull-side and show off some of the strength in his frame. Controls the barrel and was able to produce line drives. Managed an 87 mph exit velocity. Took to the mound as a right-handed hitter who worked out of the wind-up with deliberate actions. Leg lift up to the belt working into his arm stroke which had a bit of whip to it. Threw from a higher three-quarters slot. His fastball spun a 2,162 RPMs up to 79 mph. He worked east-west, attacking hitters inside and outside with the heater. Had a breaking ball in the mix. Showed a changeup in the upper-60s, killing spin on it. Also showed a true knuckleball that had decent break to it. Knuckled and had depth. Great student.
