2023 Sunshine South Showcase (Tues/Wed)
Javier Nazario is a 2024 SS/2B, MIF with a 5-10 155 lb. frame from Delray Beach, FL who attends Elev8 Sports Institute. Primary short stop with a medium build showing some room to fill out on the frame. Ran a 7.06 second sixty. Showed a good first step on the infield with projectable actions with the glove. The range showed well going in both directions with confidence in the glove. Left-handed hitter, starts with a wider base using a leg lift trigger to time things up. Does a nice job keep the hands inside the baseball with a tight turn to contact allowing him to use all field. The bat path works on a steeper path at times but still shows feel for the barrel using his athleticism to his advantage. Very good student.
