Solomon Grimes is a 2027 3B/1B with a 5-1 140 lb. frame from Longs, SC who attends North Myrtle Beach High. Soloman is a noticeably strong athletic presence. He ran a 9.64 60-yard dash. A primary corner infielder, Soloman shows a solid understanding of and for IF play. He has quick feet and positions quickly and consistently. He has soft hands and plays through the fielding action quite well. He transitions routinely and his 64-mph throws are on-line and accurate. At the plate, Soloman is balanced and loose. He shows a sound tempo and timing in and with his swing operation and gets his barrel on plane and to and through contact routinely. He keeps his hands inside the ball well and shows an ability to hit the ball to all parts of the field. There is a lot to like about Soloman's current skill set. It is based on a sound fundamental approach that should allow for continued development. With added strength, physical maturity, and necessary experience, Soloman has a chance to elevate his ability and project to a much higher level.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
