Joshua Garcia is a 2027 C/RHP, 1B, 3B, OF with a 5-10 170 lb. frame from Shawnee, KS who attends Mill Valley. Features a bigger build with strength present. Ran a 7.84 60-yard dash. Worked out on the infield and behind the plate. Caught the ball cleanly throughout infield workouts. Range profiles best for a corner spot. More arm strength should come down the line. Showed a slight side saddle setup behind the plate. Displays a quick transfer out of the crouch with developing footwork. Was accurate with most throws. Recorded a 2.02 second pop time. Right-handed hitters. Utilizes a narrow base stance with the hands starting in the middle of the body. Swings on a slightly lofted path with good extension out front. Approach is geared toward the pullside. Flashed the ability to barrel balls that way. Continuing to develop consistent barrel accuracy will allow it to play more regularly. Right-handed pitcher. Utilizes a semi-windup delivery into tall and fall mechanics down the mound. Throws from a high 3/4 slot with a shorter arm action. The fastball sat 65-68 mph with slight armside run. Generated weak contact with the offering. Paired it with a curveball at 57-58 mph showing short, slurve action. Still developing overall feel for the offering. Excellent student.
