Obed Lopez is a 2025 3B/RHP, IF, UT with a 5-11 175 lb. frame from Volo, IL who attends Harvest Christian Academy. Primary 3B with a physical build and good athleticism. Has quick feet and moves well for his size. Works around the ball well and was smooth to his back hand. Has a clean gather and funnel to chest with a quick transfer into release. Throws from a higher slot with a quick arm. Just needs to get the ball out quicker at times. Still had plenty of strength and carry behind his throws and was up to 85 from across the diamond. Profiles well on the corner. Ran a 7.37 sixty. Right-handed hitter with a balanced base and high handset. Uses a small leg lift and stride into contact. Ball comes off the barrel fine when on plane and impact strength is evident. Needs to be more consistent with his timing but has a simple swing with good rhythm in the box and should be a good hitter. Has bat speed and will just need to be on plane and on time more. Excellent student.
