Gavin Anderson is a 2025 2B/3B, SS, OF with a 5-6 140 lb. frame from Bartlett, TN who attends Bartlett. Young, narrow shouldered frame with room to fill throughout moving forward. Ran an 8.08 60-yard dash. Primary second baseman, stays back on the ball, fields the ball out front, extra step moving through the ball with footwork, works across body on throws to first base, full arm action on throws with develop strength. Short steps and active footwork on the approach in the outfield, shorter arm action with a longer release, fields the ball closer to body, worked around the intended base with throws, intent on release. Right-handed hitter, begins with a high hand set and back elbow pulled back at start of swing, barrel tilt at top of swing. Handsy swing and works on a mostly linear plane through the zone, gets downward at times, full swing path to the point of contact. Worked to the middle of the field, handles the barrel well and showed the ability to keep weight back on a changeup in live action and turn on it for a base knock. Very good student.
