2025 PG National Underclass Showcase-Main Event Presented by GEICO
Julian Lopez is a 2027 RHP/1B/3B/OF with a 6-3 210 lb. frame from Coral Spring, FL who attends North Broward Prep. A bigger frame and build, with some strength present. Ran a 7.22 60-yard dash. Primary right-handed pitcher, who took to the mound, working from the stretch, with the shoulders over the hips, working down the mound with some push downhill. He threw from a lower three-quarters arm action with some feel to move down the slope. He had a fastball that worked 77-79 mph with some run/sink to the profile, spinning above 2,000 RPMs. He also showed an upper-60s breaking ball, with good depth and bite to it. Took BP as a right-handed hitter with a medium and even setup, open front side, high hands, and the back elbow up. He had an aggressive swing, with good bat speed, and some feel to work through contact and find the zone. He was able to impact the ball and do damage throughout his round of BP swings. He showed some strength in the frame and was able to impact a couple during his round. Produced an 86 mph exit velocity during PG DK Testing. Worked out in the outfield, with an aggressive move working to the baseball, with some feel to get the ball out. Throws were at 80 mph from a three-quarters arm action. He worked through the ball well, with some feel for the release. Worked out on the infield at first base, with shuffling feet around the bag to make his pivots & turns. He threw 79 mph across the diamond during his round of reps at first base, with some feel to change slots as needed. Great student.
