Jack Gallison is a 2023 3B/RHP, 2B, OF with a 6-3 160 lb. frame from Laguna Niguel, CA who attends Dana Hills HS. Jack is an emerging, up and coming, athletic player who shows a sound fundamental base that will help grow his talents. In addition to his obvious skills on the diamond, Jack is also an exemplary student. He ran a 7.34 60 yard dash. A primary infielder, Jack is very sound in and with his actions. Probably a corner infield type moving forward, Jack shows commendable footwork and is especially good going to his glove side. His glove work is routine and his 75 mph arm plays well. His throws show carry and accuracy. Jack also took a turn on the mound. He has a clue with his operation. He hides the ball well behind his body, adding to his deception. He is a plus command and control guy who pitches off his 79-80 mph fastball that he works to the lower half of the zone. He is a strike thrower. His 73 mph change up is a solid secondary offering and appears to be his favorite, He throws it with FB arm quickness and it tunnels from the FB window showing late tumble at the dish. At the plate, Jack shows some commendable bat quickness. He can get his barrel to and through contact well and strike the ball with some force. There is obvious strength in his hands that should allow for continued improvement at the dish. Jack has skill. The next three years of HS ball are crucial in and for his development. Attention to detail on the field and a dedication to the weight, will certainly elevate his game.
