James Stoeckel is a 2025 OF/2B with a 6-0 183 lb. frame from Friendswood, TX who attends Lutheran South Academy. Primary outfielder with an athletic frame and good strength. Works through the ball well with a one hand gather to his side. Longer arm action but gets it out cleanly with good strength and carry behind his throws. Was accurate and gains momentum through his throws. Showed good game like actions overall. Was up to 86 from the outfield. Right-handed hitter with a more upright stance and high handset. Uses a small leg stride into contact and could impact it out front. Swing gets long at times but showed good ability to time everything up so it works for him. Went yard during his round of BP and could clearly impact it well. Also ran a 6.84 sixty. Good Student. Named to the South High School All-State TP List.
