Matty Carroll is a 2027 3B/RHP/OF with a 6-0 180 lb. frame from Charlotte, NC who attends Charlotte Christian. Recorded a 7.00 second 60-yard dash time. Primary third baseman with a compact frame and strong build. Solid footwork on the dirt working around the ball with good angles and clean actions. Hands work with early glove presentation working low to the ground. Corner actions with enough footwork and range to play shortstop with accuracy across the diamond and on the move on throws. Secondary right-handed pitcher with a side step to a high-belt lift working from the third base side of the rubber. Featured a three-pitch mix with slightly closed landing down the slope. Fastball in low-80s (2090 RPM) with sharp curveball in the low-70s (2369 RPM) and changeup around 74 mph with low spin (1589 RPM). Repeats the delivery on all three offerings and reads swings while on the bump. Worked to the ball in the outfield with gather on the left side of his frame. High slot release with medium arm action on throws to the bases at 86 mph. Athletic mover in the outfield with solid actions and release on throws to the bases. Right-handed hitter with an even and balanced stance in the box. Strength through the zone with linear bat path using the whole field. Controls the barrel with quick hands and impact out front from gap-to-gap. Good student.
